The 'Jungle', Lincoln

Adrian Daintry (1901–1988) was an underrated artist and a bohemian eccentric. He won the drawing prize at Charterhouse and a place at Slade School of Art. His first major exhibition was shared with Paul Nash in 1928. He produced cityscapes in the Post-Impressionist manner and also portraits and interiors. Despite having several wealthy patrons he struggled financially as an artist, never receiving the support of a gallery until towards the end.
