Llanthony Abbey, Monmouthshire
Denis Constanduros (1910–1978) produced six artworks for Shell in the 1930s. Llanthony Priory is situated far up the narrow Honddu valley in the Black Mountains. Once an Augustian Priory, a house was built in part of the ruins in the late eighteenth century. The house was formerly owned by the poet, Walter Savage Landor, and survives today as a hotel.
