Edward Bawden (1903–1989) was a designer, printer and illustrator. He trained at the RCA under Paul Nash. He was a war artist and afterwards worked on many book illustrations and for organisations such as Fortnum & Mason, the National Westminster Bank and London Transport. As well as posters, press advertisements and illustrations he produced murals, wallpaper designs and textiles. He also did work for Wedgewood.
