Ford consumer clinics of the mid 1960s identified a market for a sporty family car with good looks, handling and performance.
The Capri was introduced in February 1969 with an unprecedented choice of engines and options. A European Mustang, 'the car you always promised yourself' used saloon components to project a glamorous and affordable image. MkII was the hatchback version of 1974, whilst improved aerodynamics and fuel consumption were a feature of Capri MkIII, launched in 1978.
This car had one owner from new and has a mileage of less than 67,000 (107,826 kilometres). It has never been used on a motorway and rarely travelled over 40mph/64.37kph.
