The famous London store of Harrods began using solid-tyred American Walker electric vans in 1919. Later they built their own, and this is one of the last of their fleet of sixty.
This one-ton vehicle was powered by batteries giving a total of 60 volts; all were stored under the floor. Electric vehicles were ideally suited for local deliveries.
