This model was one of the first to appear after the amalgamation of Daimler and Benz in 1926.
Designed by Dr Ferdinand Porsche, the supercharged S Type has since become one of the most desirable of all vintage sports cars.
This car was once owned by Peter Ustinov and the Museum has recently restored it to its original condition. Only 146 examples of this model were made, but they were outstandingly successful on the racetrack.
