In over half a century of speedway racing, the basics of the machines used have not changed significantly. The JAP was the world's first specialised speedway engine when introduced in 1930 and dominated the sport for 35 years. The Rotrax frame for this restored bike belonged to Dent Oliver, who rode for Belle Vue, Manchester, in the 1950s.
