The development of the electric vehicle has always been hampered by battery technology. Sir Clive Sinclair, well known for his computers, decided to accept battery limitation and produce a vehicle, which was only electrically assisted.
The C5 is a pedal tricycle and the electric motive power should only be used to give help on hills. If you use the motor all the time, the Motor magazine report would indicate a range of 10 miles or less before a recharge is necessary.
