This, the 'flying banana' as it was often called, was one of John Wooler's many ingenious and advanced designs from a series of companies with which he was associated between 1911 and 1955.
The four-stroke engine had a chain-driven pump supplying oil through the timing gear into the crankcase. Transmission was by belt operating on variable diameter pulleys to give automatic changing in gearing according to the load. Front-wheel and rear-wheel suspension was by enclosed coil springs.
