The 2006 Formula One season saw a number of rule changes designed to limit ever increasing race speeds. These included a reduction in engine size from 3.0 to 2.4 litres together with a reduction in cylinder numbers to a maximum of 8.
The MP4/21 car was designed for the 2006 season by McLaren Chief Engineer Adrian Newey. That year the team’s drivers were Juan Pablo Montoya and Kimi Räikkönen with Pedro de la Rosa replacing Montoya mid season.
This replica car now carries the 2010 Jensen Button livery.
