Royal Caravan

Not on Display - In Museum Workshop

This unique caravan was presented to Prince Charles and Princess Anne by The Caravan Club in 1955. Shortly after receiving the gift, the royal children were towed around the grounds of Buckingham Palace in the ʼvan by their father, Club Patron HRH The Duke of Edinburgh.

Built by Rollalong Limited, the caravan is constructed of an insulated and lined ash frame clad in aluminium. The caravan was fully restored by its original manufacturer during The Caravan Club’s Centenary year in 2007.
