Benelli 750 SEI

On Display

Benelli produced their first motorcycle in 1921 and began road racing within two years. Competition forced improvements in design and the marque achieved great success. Decline led to Alessandro De Tomaso buying the company in 1971 when policy was revised to compete with Japanese bikes. Four years later the 750 SEI became the world's first six-cylinder production motorcycle. With overhead camshaft and five-speed gearbox, the smooth-running SEI enjoyed press adulation. This bike was exported to the USA and, until October 1993, was kept inside a showroom. With delivery mileage only, it has never been registered.
