Described by The Motor Cycle magazine as 'The Rolls-Royce of Motor Cycles', Brough Superior became renowned for their production of high quality machines. The 11.50 Special was used around the world, notably by the Australian Mounted Police and Royal West Mounted Police of Canada. Twenty-eight constabularies in the British Isles used the 11.50 Special Combination.
This particular example is fitted with an Alpine Grand Sports Sidecar with Cruiser body. The chrome tube above the nose has a practical function. It is capable of holding 1½ gallons of reserve petrol.
