The popularity of motor caravans began in 1960, with conversions on Commers, Bedfords and Volkswagens leading the way. Based on a Commer 15cwt chassis this conversion was undertaken by Auto-Sleepers Ltd.
The engine used the basic components of the Hillman Minx. This motor caravan served its one and only owner for 23 years and clocked up just 22,000 miles (35,405 kilometres)..
