From 1925, under E.L. Cord's direction, Auburn cars gained a reputation for luxury, style and performance. This 1935 Auburn Speedster has a supercharged side valve engine developing 150bhp and has a two speed back axle giving overdrive to all three gears. All Auburn speedsters were personally tested to exceed 100mph/160kph by the famous record breaker Ab Jenkins. An autographed plate on the dashboard records this fact. This particular car is reputed to have been used by Marlene Dietrich in the film Desire.
