Itala was one of the leading Italian quality car makes in pre‑1914 days. In 1907 they entered three cars for the Coppa Della Velocita Race at Brescia; these finished first, eighth and tenth.
This car was the winner, driven by Cagno at an average speed of 65.2mph/104.93kph for the 302 miles (486.02 kilometres). Weight is just over a ton, with a giant engine of 14.5 litres.
