Sponsor a Vehicle

The Sponsor a Vehicle initiative offers you the unique opportunity to have your name (or the name of a loved one) on display in the Museum, at the same time as helping to support the important work of the National Motor Museum Trust.

Why we need sponsorship

As a charitable trust, the National Motor Museum often has difficult decisions to make.

We host a unique collection of over 250 vehicles, spanning over 100 years of motoring. Many are in working order and are driven on rallies, motorcycle runs and events at Beaulieu. Others need varying degrees of work, care and attention to enable them to be driven whilst also preserving them for the future.

With no core government funding, we rely on our friends and visitors to support us and to help us maintain our reputation as a focus for motoring enthusiasts and historians, a resource for students, researchers and writers, and an inspirational attraction for all.

We take a balanced view of our exhibits, taking our preservation responsibilities seriously, whilst also believing in ‘living history’ and the value of seeing, hearing and experiencing our motor vehicles in action.

This is why we are inviting you to sponsor one of our vehicles.

How you can help us

Anyone can sponsor any of the vehicles in the Museum owned by the National Motor Museum Trust.

All donations received through the Sponsor a Vehicle initiative will be spent on the maintenance, preservation, conservation or restoration work needed on vehicles owned by the Trust.

For example:

  • £250 would pay for a hydraulic overhaul on our 1949 Morris Minor, an oil change on the 1914 Rolls-Royce Alpine Eagle or a set of tyres on our 1996 Honda Fireblade.

  • £500 would pay for a new set of tyres and a service and hydraulic check on the 1971 Ford Capri or a petrol tank respray on the 1957 BMW R50.

  • £1,000 would enable us to do an engine rebuild on the 1948 Triumph Speed Twin, an overhaul of the brakes on our 1966 Austin A40 Farina or a valve service on our Rolls-Royce Alpine Eagle.
