Introduced in 1959, the Bonneville was the most successful motorcycle to carry the Triumph name. This classic design was a great success for Triumph, selling well both at home and abroad. A popular road bike, Bonnevilles were also raced with great success. The 650cc T120 remained in production until the early 1970s. The 750cc T140 model was introduced in 1973. Bonneville production ended in 1983, although a brief revival took place in the mid-1980s. A new Bonneville emerged in 2001.

The Bonneville name commemorates Triumph’s record breaking attempts at the Bonneville Salt Flats in Utah during the 1950s.
