Content Services

The National Motor Museum Trust holds an extensive Audio-Visual collection spanning over 100 years of Motoring and Motorsport. 

The Film and Video Collections include - Ford of Britain, Automobile Association, Metropolitan Police, Vauxhall, Dunlop, David A Clarke, John Tate, John Tully (Brunswick Films), Rootes Group, Rolls Royce Enthusiasts Club, Bentley Owners Club, Roscoe Films, Malcolm and Donald Campbell and Henry Segrave.

As well these, we hold extensive video content in the form of production rushes from “The Power and the Glory” and “Top Gear”.

Audio recordings from various sources including the Stanley Schofield archive.

Facilities

To complement the vast collections we hold, the National Motor Museum operates its own film and video facilities for internal and external film scanning and video and audio digitisation work.

Film

  • Spirit Datacine 16mm and 35mm HD film transfers to Uncompressed DPX or mov files.
  • Audio transfer in telecine department include Com-opt, Com-mag and Sep Mag.

We hold an extensive collection of legacy video equipment including:

The technical knowledge and expertise built up at Beaulieu is widely recognised, and many organisations rely on our facility for efficient and cost-effective handling of their valuable archive material.
