The section of The Bayeux Tapestry that you won’t see in The British Museum!
17 September 2026
The National Motor Museum - based in the French sounding New forest village of Beaulieu - is giving visitors an opportunity to see a section of The Bayeux Tapestry that they won’t see in The British Museum!
Museum staff are asking, "Could this be the missing piece of the needlework with King William in his car!?"
The tongue-in-cheek artwork, the celebrate the tapestry's visit to Britain, is on display in a glass case on the ground floor of the Museum for a limited time (with thanks to a little AI for the illustration)!
