16 August 2023

Manufacturers of quality mechanical watches, the Marloe Watch Company has become the Official Timekeeping Partner of the National Motor Museum.

The partnership with the famous museum at Beaulieu in the New Forest will be a collaboration that will cover events, motor shows and special edition releases. Marloe Watch Company will also feature within the National Motor Museum itself.

Producing stylish designer watches with high-quality craftsmanship Marloe Watch Company was founded by Gordon Fraser and Oliver Goffe in Oxfordshire in 2015. It prides itself on mechanical expertise, attention to detail and patience, and similar to how the National Motor Museum tells the story of motoring, its designs are inspired by human stories.

“It’s a real honour for Marloe to become the Official Timekeeping Partner for the historic National Motor Museum at Beaulieu,” says Oliver Goffe, co-founder of Marloe Watch Company. “There are lots of events and projects we’ll be collaborating on, but perhaps the most exciting is a very limited edition watch we’ll be making in partnership with the National Motor Museum to celebrate a land speed milestone in 2024.”

Jon Murden, Chief Executive at the National Motor Museum says, “Our partnership with Marloe Watch Company will support the National Motor Museum Trust helping us with our work of preserving and promoting motoring history.”

The partnership will be announced on 17 August 2023, alongside the National Motor Museum, at The British Motor Show, Farnborough.

About Marloe Watch Company

Watch by Marloe Watch Company
  • In 2015, Oliver Goffe decided to replace the battery in his fairly pricey, branded watch. When he opened it up however, he discovered a disappointing reality. Staring back at him was a hollow case with an underwhelming, plastic quartz movement inside. The watch felt heartless and Oliver was sure he could make something better.
  • He went in search of partner and soon met Gordon Fraser, an industrial designer who shared his passion for doing things properly. They created a well-designed, beautifully engineered watch, with a mechanical beating heart, at a price that made sense. Within the first 12 months, the first mechanical Marloe watch was sold and Marloe Watch Company was born. Marloe is proud of the reputation it has built and the part it has played in a revitalised British watch industry.
  • The company name is inspired by Oliver’s hometown of Marlow on the banks of the River Thames. Today the Marloe Watch Company is based in Gordon’s homeland of Scotland, on the banks of Loch Leven in Kinross.
