The Drive For Change

The Drive for Change online exhibition explores the role of motoring in the women’s suffrage movement and the inspirational stories of those who were involved.

The exhibition was curated and written by History undergraduates from the University of Southampton, in partnership with the National Motor Museum Trust, the Caravan and Motorhome Club Collection and the Shell Heritage Art Collection.

This exhibition was created to complement the Museum’s current The Drive for Change project marking the centenary of the Representation of the People Act, which gave the first British women the right to vote.
