Motorsports Hall of Fame of America, Daytona Beach
The Sunbeam goes on display in the museum located in the grounds of Daytona International Speedway designed specifically to honour the men and women who have been immortalized in the Motorsports Hall of Fame of America.

The Motorsports Hall of Fame of America honours motorsports competitors and contributors from the United States from all disciplines, with categories for Open Wheel, Stock Cars, Powerboats, Drag Racing, Motorcycles, Sports Cars, Aviation, at Large, Off-Road and Historic. Its display on Speed Records includers Sir Malcolm Campbell’s famous world land speed record machine, Blue Bird. It occupies a place of honour and is buttressed by period photos and artifacts. This Blue Bird is the fifth and best version of a series of vehicles built by Sir Campbell and his backers during 1920s and ‘30s record quests. It carried him to the 1935 land speed record on a Daytona-area beach — a distinction it still holds — and was the first vehicle to top 300 mph, on the Bonneville (Utah) Salt Flats.

Join experts and enthusiasts to hear about the fascinating history of the Sunbeam 1000hp at an evening talk at the Motorsport Hall of Fame of America on Thursday 25 March 2027. National Motor Museum Senior Engineer, Ian Stanfield, Jon Murden, Chief Executive of the National Motor Museum, and Sunbeam Project Patron, Martin Braybrook give an insight into how the iconic vehicle was conceived, and how technological advancement and the spirit of the age drove heroic drivers to break speed barriers.
