Collections Centre

Our Collection of 1.9 million items are stored and cared for in the onsite Collections Centre. The building is fully accessible and we welcome visitors by appointment.

The National Motor Museum Collections Centre is an amazing treasure trove of objects. From photographs to film, archive material to objects. these items are not currently on display in the Museum. They are held in store so that they can be cared for, accessed for research or used as part of our exhibition programmes.

The building is also where the National Motor Museum team are based. They work on a range of tasks to care for the Collections and make them accessible. Our Learning and Development teams also work out of this building and support the work to widen access to the Collections.

Although a working building, we welcome visitors and groups to see behind the scenes of the Collection Centre, by prior appointment.
