Getting here

The National Motor Museum is located at Beaulieu, and forms part of the Beaulieu visitor attraction in the grounds of historic Palace House. The entrance is situated to the north of the village of Beaulieu in England's New Forest National Park.

By car and motorcycle

Beaulieu’s postcode for your satnav is SO42 7ZN or take Junction 2 of the M27 and follow the brown and white tourist signs to Beaulieu and our visitor entrance.

Parking on site is free of charge and there is a separate car park for disabled visitors near to Visitor Reception.

Bus

The New Forest Tour’s Green Route (summer time only) links Beaulieu with Hythe Ferry (for Southampton), Lyndhurst, Brockenhurst (rail station) and Lymington. For timetables and ticket information visit New Forest Tour.

More buses (Tues, Thurs) have a limited service between Hythe and Lymington and drop visitors either at the Museum entrance or in Beaulieu village depending upon the route. For more information visit More Bus company.

By bike

The New Forest National Park is well served by country roads and cycle paths. You can cycle on public roads, byways open to all traffic, public bridleways, restricted bridleways, and dedicated New Forest cycle routes. One of the most popular routes for families is from the historic Buckler’s Hard to the National Motor Museum. 

Rail

The nearest main line station is Brockenhurst which is served regularly by the London to Weymouth train. An hourly service currently serves Beaulieu Road railway station which is 3.5 miles from the National Motor Museum, and it is possible to pre-arrange a taxi transfer to the museum.  For more information visit National Rail Enquiries.

By air

Southampton Airport and Bournemouth Airport and located within an hours' drive of the National Motor Museum. With advance notice, it's possible to land a helicopter in the grounds of the Museum at Beaulieu.
