This 1936 Shell poster illustrates Devil’s Elbow, a notorious road in Braemar, Aberdeen, dangerous for its double bend and steep slope. Artist Robert Miller (1910-1993) produced this poster before joining the Army in the Second World War. Miller became known for his many sketches of Army life in France and Germany.
