A second pair of March cars were run that season, for Hans-Joachim Stuck and Arturo Mezario. Peterson won the Italian Grand Prix, while Brambilla’s sixth place in the Netherlands secured him a single World Championship point.

March Engineering were well-known as builders of racing cars for customers in Formula 2, Formula 3, Indycar and sports car racing. They also supplied Formula 1 cars to privateers, as well as running their own factory team.
