Designed in the early 1950s, this experimental high-camshaft, overhead-valve Norton prototype promised well but was never offered to the public. During that period, prices of 250cc machines were comparatively low and allowed only small profit margins. The Norton, which had many features of the larger models in the range and was overweight for its size, could not have been offered at a competitive price.
