Ferrari have been part of the World Championship since the very beginning in 1950, the only manufacturer to have competed every year. In the age of commercial sponsors’ liveries, the Maranello built cars still carry traditional Italian racing red and are followed by an army of passionate fans, the ‘tifosi’.

The early 2000s were one of the most successful periods in Ferrari’s racing history, with an unbroken run of five Drivers’ titles for Michael Schumacher from 2000 to 2004, and eight Constructors’ titles between 1999 and 2008. The F2002 was particularly successful, taking Schumacher to ten Grand Prix victories in 2002, in addition to an early season win in the preceding F2001 at the Australian GP. Teammate Rubens Barichello won a further four races. The F2002 also competed in the first four rounds of the 2003 Championship, taking Schumacher to a further victory at the San Marino Grand Prix.
