Wooler built only a small number of motorcycles, most of which had unconventional features. This model was introduced in 1920. The engine is John Wooler’s own design of flat-twin four-stroke. The frame has front and rear plunger suspension and the distinctive streamline tank surrounds the head stock. Drive to the wheel is through a variable pulley and drive belt. A more modern three-speed transmission with chain drive was introduced in 1921.
Wooler launched their first motorcycle in 1911, marketed under various names up to 1916. Production started again in 1920 and continued until 1926. The name was revived in 1945, with Wooler bikes being produced up to 1956.
